Tekna TOKYO Orchestra released a 1st album “Tekna TOKYO Orchestra”.
Tekna TOKYO Orchestra is made up of Masahiro Hiramoto, Sara Yoshida
(vocal), Masabumi Sekiguchi(cello) and Hirofumi Nakamura(guitar) and
have held the lives around Tokyo since the live at Brooklyn Parlor, a sister store of BLUE NOTE TOKYO, in 2011.
Tekna TOKYO Orchestra was organized to release their music which is
composed with electronic sounds like orchestra, strong and beautiful
voices, elegant sounds of cello and guitar with using and layered analog
and digital freely.
There are 13 tracks in this album. The tracks, typified by “World Without End” and “Voyager”, are composed by the sounds which is mixed with
and bouncing with noises/electronic sounds, vocal, cello and guitar.
These tracks, consisting of electronic strong rhythmical beats with other driving plays, create original addictive sound images.
On the other hand, there are also acoustic tracks like ”You and the Cello” and “my only universe” in this album.
By electronic tracks and acoustic ones, you’ll feel the fascination of this album “Tekna TOKYO orchestra”.

『Tekna TOKYO Orchestra』はTekna TOKYO Orchestraがリリースするファーストアルバム。
平本正宏がボーカリスト吉田沙良、東京芸術大学時代の友人であるチェリスト関口将史、ギタリスト中村大史の4名で新たに結成したTekna TOKYO Orchestraは、2011年青山ブルーノートの姉妹店であるブルックリンパーラーでのライブを皮切りに、六本木ヒルズ・マドラウンジなどで演奏活動を行ってきた。
オーケストラのようなエレクトロニクスサウンドに、力強く艶やかな歌、流麗なチェロ、聴く耳を射止めるギターが絡み合い、アナログとデジタルとを縦横無尽に駆使・重層させた音楽としてTekna TOKYO Orchestraが産声をあげた。
本アルバムは計13曲から成る。
「World Without End」、「Voyager」に代表される楽曲は、Tekna TOKYO Orchestraの真骨頂ともいうべき、ノイズ／エレクトロニクス・サウンドと歌、チェロ、ギターが、溶け合いあるいは弾け合うサウンドに仕上がっている。力強く刻むエレクトロニクスのビートと、それに呼応しドライブのかかっていくライブ感に充ちた演奏はここでしか聴くことのできない刺激的な音像を作り出す。
エレクトロニクスをいっさい使用しないアコースティックのみの楽曲もある。壮大なストリングアンサンブルと共に演奏される「You and the Cello」、4人のみでの感情を潔く抑制した演奏で聴かせる「my only universe」もまた、Tekna TOKYO Orchestraの新しい魅力となっている。
